    Samsung 216BWPublié le 21/04/10 à 20:34

The Samsung 216BW is a 21.6 inch LCD computer monitor. I've used this in a recording studio as an external monitor for a Pro Tools HD rig with an Apple computer. It wasn't the main room at the recording studio, so it didn't need too big of a monitor which is why I guess they got this one for it. I really can't say that I have any complaints about this monitor, as the picture is great and comes through crystal clear. While having a good looking monitor isn't exactly necessary, it is certainly a nice thing to have. I might not necessarily need this for my home studio, but in a professional environment, having a good looking monitor even at this size is a very good thing to have as it not only looks good and makes everything easy to read and see on the screen, but can also impress any clients or potential clients. While perhaps not as big as you would like, Samsung does have similar models that are bigger in size if you so need. Having two monitors like the 216BW would certainly be a huge plus as it would allow you to have both your edit and mix windows in Pro Tools open at the same time, which is also something that could be done with a larger monitor. However, for those simply looking for a smaller sized LCD monitor for their desktop computer, the Samsung 216BW is a great choice. In my opinion, you can't really go wrong with a Samsung, as they are widely known for making the best TVs and LCD monitors. Although you'll be paying a bit more for this than you would something off brand, the bottom line is that the Samsung 216BW offers up a great picture for uses of all types...

    Moniteur solides pour le prix

This is the 216BW monitor. I'm typing on it, right now. I use it as my sequencer window, and boy, does it sequence. It's a very crisp, clean monitor. It's paired with my nVidia GTX285 GPU, and sits beside a 17-inch LCD 4:3 monitor, and the difference is astounding. The colors are crisp and clean in the Samsung, but pull them over to the other monitor, and they're bland and dull. It's nice and wide, too. Samsung's new monitors are very good, and worth the price. People think that size is everything, but the very high dynamic contrast ratio, and the matte finish make it very easy to choose the Samsung monitor. Though I spent a fair amount of money on it, it's been worth it. The width lets me sequence large parts of songs very easily, and I can really zoom in without having to scroll every second to keep up, and I don't lose my place. It's got a very fast response time. It's also fine to set up, no drivers required, essentially plug-and-play. I'd recommend it to anybody, and would buy it again if given the chance.
