The TC Helicon VoiceLive Rack is a vocal effects processor and it comes with a MP-75 microphone. The value for what you get is great with this unit. You can pretty much create any sound or effect that you can think of with this unit. It even has all of the presets of many popular songs that you can apply by the click of a button. Some of the effects that it has are doubling, detune, flange, chorus and many more. There are over 200 presets on the VoiceLive rack and every single one of them is very good.
UTILIZATION
The pitch correction/shifting on this rack is very good, it sounds very natural and smooth but only if you want it too. You easily push it to the limit and do some crazy stuff with it. You can customize everything all the way down to the type of humanization (male or female).
SOUND QUALITY
The interface of this rack is simple to use and operate, it does come with a manual that will help you figure things out because right out of the box things can get a little overwhelming when you first start using it so it is great to have a well written manual close by to help with any questions you may have. TC Helicon also provides great support to anyone who buys from them, I had to call them several times not just for this rack but for other gear and they have been nothing but helpful.
OVERALL OPINION
This unit is a must for a singer or someone running a live set because it comes with a microphone and all of the effect you need to replicate the sound of popular songs or completely come up with your own vocal sound and even save it as a preset so you can come back to it later. This unit will only take up 1 rack space and it made to last a long time. I highly recommend purchasing this, it is listed at a great price too!
