Il conviendrai parfaitement pour du brit pop, blues, classic rock voir plus avec les pédales adaptées.
Fabrication USA. L'ampli est largement assez puissant pour le jeu en groupe. Répète ou scène, no problemo, on vous entendra
Facilement transportable car peu encombrant et pas trop lourd.
Sur ce modèle les lampes sont protégées (contrairement à la 1ere version)
C'est un ampli plug n' play.
Le SON :

ce canal est assez sombre, parfait pour les pédales en tout genre et suffisament dynamique pour créer des nuances de jeu.
La boucle d'effet est propre mais même en façade le son reste bon (notamment les delay , je préfére utiliser mes effets en façade question de goût). La reverbe fait le job.. c'est pas du fender mais ça depanne.
Le canal drive quand à lui est le principal atout de cet ampli: il est beau et pour le coup je trouve qu'il a un caractère bien à lui, pas la peine de rajouter un overdrive sauf pour booster et le rendre un peu plus compressé.
Le crunch est superbe. Avec une SG c'est terrible, ça se marie vraiment bien.
Ce canal vaut l'achat du classic 30.
Excellent rapport qualité prix en occasion : Joli son, facile à transporter, puissant mais exploitable en groupe.
Quand on pense qu'il coutait le prix d'un valvestate 100w dans les années 90… Je n'ai jamais eu de panne avec.
J'ai déjà vu un gratteux jouer avec sur un 4X12 marshall, c'était assez monstrueux!
Les petits points négatifs seraient la diffusion un peu limite (liés à la qualité du cab? ), les vibrations lampes sur certains modèles.
Ah oui.. et le boost qui ne sert pas à grand chose (salit le son plus qu'autre chose à mon sens, mais j'aime pas trop les boost sur les amplis.. sauf le top boost des vox mais c'est différent , c'est un canal à part)
Bref, C'est un très bon ampli Rock au crunch terrible qui respecte le caractère de chaque instrument et des effets que vous lui collerez au cul . Il vous permettra d'avoir un bon son dans pas mal de styles !

This is essentially modeled after the Fender tweed deluxe amps from the olden days. It does have two channels which makes it more modenr and the second channel being for more of n overdriven tone.

This thing gets a decent tone for the money. The tone seems a bit on the thin side even with a a humbucker style guitar. The tone I know is not a high gain saturation like most of their amps are, but it does get a some thick chewy distortion when you wind up the gain on the amp.
This is a simple amp and there isn't too much to dialing in a decent tone for what is has to offer you. The controls are simple and the gain structures for post and pre amp will have you selecting a number of possible tones.
OVERALL OPINION
This isn't an amp to write home about but it does good for the money. At new these amps come in at around $650. Not a bad price for a two channel combo amp. I would recommend this amp over a Fender tweed deluxe any day of the week. Not only for the price but for the features as well.01- iamqman

The should stick to what they know and what they know is modern high gain. This classic rock amps are great for the low priced people who don't want or can't afford a Fender tweed and want more versatility.
This amp is the exact same as the tweed version but just in a black tolex covering. You get the same great features and tone but just in a more respectable modern black look.

Peavey has a great handle on the high gain amps and they do a fantastic job at getting those killer over the top high gain tones. This amp is just a toss at the classic rock players and it will suit some people fine. If you have played their 6505 then yuo'll find this a bit lacking.
