Excelent micro

Micro dynamique, la gamme de frequence qu'il restitue est très large (de 28 Hz à 18 Khz sur le papier) et il encaisse un max (jusqu'à 148 db).
Le micro est bien lourd, la fabrication est très sérieuse...enfin c'est du tout bon !

Alors j'utilise ce micro depuis quelques mois, je l'ai découvert au hasard d'un passage dans un studio aux États-Unis et j'ai très vite chercher à m'en procurer un ...
Ce micro sait tout faire ...De la prise voix à la prise grosse caisse ou il est formidable en passant par des prises d'ampli basse ou guitare !
Si je devais lui trouver un équivalent dans une marque connu, je le comparerait très facilement à un EV RE-20.
Ce micro c'est tout faire et...…

The Heil Sound PR 40 really opened my eyes while I was using. Immediately after I was in the studio and heard it I went home and started to look into how much that it cost to have one here at my house. I just had to get my hands on one of them and I was willing to almost trade in so much of my gear to have one. It was being used for a singers vocals in the studio and it sounded amazing, though I never did purchase one at home. There was a female singer and songwriter that I have worked with on several occasions who purchased this mic after I told her about it, so she invested the money into it and I was able to use it a few times. Now one thing that disappointed me is that it didn’t sound as good at home as it did in the actual studio. This could be attributed to no acoustic treatment in the room and in the studio they could have been using some type of compressor or some real time effects to spice it up a bit. Because while using it at her house the audio sounded extremely thin to me. Almost to the point where I think she purchased the wrong mic so I started to look at the box and stuff to make sure she got the right one.

OVERALL OPINION

The thin sound is something that I can stand, your voice does not naturally sound thin so why does this mic make it sound thin. So I will have to credit it to the room not being treated right, though she does still use this mic and probably will for a while, I am still a little confused on why the final recording came out like they. Even after adding some slight vocal reverb and boosting frequencies it just doesn’t sound natural. So im not sure, I wont purchase this mic though because of that experience, I don’t want to invest the money and be un happy.

Le Heil Sound PR 40 m'a vraiment ouvert les yeux alors que je l'aide. Immédiatement après, j'étais dans le studio et il a entendu que je rentrai chez moi et a commencé à se pencher sur combien ça coûte d'avoir un ici, à ma maison. J'ai juste eu à mettre la main sur l'un d'eux et j'étais prêt à presque commerce dans la majeure partie de mon équipement en avoir un. Il a été utilisé pendant quelques voix des chanteurs en studio et ça sonnait étonnant, si je n'ai jamais fait d'achat unique à la maison. Il était une chanteuse et auteur-compositeur que j'ai travaillé avec à plusieurs reprises qui ont acheté ce micro après que je lui ai dit à ce sujet, alors elle a investi de l'argent dedans et j'ai été capable de l'utiliser à quelques reprises. Maintenant, une chose que m'a déçu, c'est qu'il n'a pas son aussi bon à la maison comme il l'a fait dans le studio réelle. Ceci pourrait être attribué à aucun traitement acoustique dans la salle et dans le studio, ils auraient pu utiliser un certain type de compresseur ou certains effets en temps réel pour pimenter un peu. Parce que tout en l'utilisant dans sa maison de l'audio sonnait extrêmement mince pour moi. Presque au point où je pense qu'elle a acheté le micro mal alors j'ai commencé à regarder dans la boîte et des trucs pour s'assurer qu'elle a obtenu le droit.

Le son mince est quelque chose que je peux tenir, votre voix ne sonne naturellement mince alors pourquoi ne ce micro faire sonner mince. Donc, je vais avoir à y croire à la salle de ne pas être traité à droite, si elle ne fonctionne toujours utiliser ce micro et le fera probablement pendant un certain temps, je suis encore un peu confus sur les raisons de l'enregistrement final a été publié comme ils. Même après avoir ajouté un peu de réverbération légère vocale et le renforcement de fréquences, il n'a tout simplement pas l'air naturel. Donc, im not sure, je ne vais pas acheter ce micro mais parce que de cette expérience, je ne veux pas investir de l'argent et être non satisfaits.

The Heil Sound PR40 is a uniquely designed dynamic microphone that I've used in the recording studio. I've only got experience using in within this type of setting, so I don't know that I'd recommend using it for anything else. As far as the technical aspects of the PR40 go, it has a cardioid polar pick up pattern and will pick up frequencies in the range from 28 Hz to 18 kHz. For a microphone on the cheaper end, this definitely doesn't have as cheap of a feel to it as you would think it might.

OVERALL OPINION

For this price, the Heil Sound PR40 is one of the best microphones out there. It's a versatile microphone that is capable of handling just about any application, although I've primarily used it for recording a bass guitar cabinet. We've got one of these at the studio where I work and it's probably the least expensive microphone that get used, besides a Shure SM57. It sees most of it's action for scratch vocals or for a bass guitar cabinet, as it picks up frequencies all the way down starting at 28 Hz. I love it's design as it looks like a condenser microphone but is actually a dynamic one. Being that it's in the professional recording studio that I work at, it's one of the rare microphone that crosses over in that it's suitable for use in a professional recording studio setting, but is cheap enough that any home studio owner could afford one. I'm not sure that it's the perfect all purpose microphone in the studio, but it would certainly get the job done. This is definitely the best sounding Heil Sound microphone that I've used. If you're in the market for a some bang for your buck in a unique dynamic mic, the PR40 is a very nice sounding microphone for an even nicer sounding price.

The Heil PR 40 microphone boasts the widest frequency range of any dynamic mic in the Heil PR series. The PR 40 incorporates Heil’s sage-like understanding of phasing plug placement, along with the use of a very large (1"), low mass diaphragm, and custom magnet metals housed in a specially designed microphone body.

The PR 40 diaphragm is shock mounted such that it is completely de-coupled from the anodized Champagne matte-finished steel body. In addition to dual mesh screens, each made with different diameter screen apertures, there is an internal breath blast filter on the diaphragm element itself, providing superb response for the human voice across the entire vocal range, without “popping” noises. In fact, the PR 40 will provide flawless, smooth, flat response from 28 Hz all the way up to the 18k Hz, making this a great microphone for everything from vocals, to bass drums and tom drums, to guitar and bass cabinet mic’ing and more.

In short, the PR 40 is known by professionals as the “thoroughbred work-horse” of professional sound recording and reinforcement.

The PR 40 is available in champagne, gold plate, or chrome plate. With all PR 40 models you get an adjustable cast metal microphone holder in a padded Leatherette bag with molded foam insert.
