Hughes and Kettner have some of the best sounding amplifiers on the planet. This a German company who designs high quality guitar amps for touring musicians and the average consumer. They guitar amps that range from just a few hundred dollars to several thousand.
This is a two channel amp that has a great clean channel and a great crunch channel. This isn't an ultra high gain amp like many of their other amps this is more of studio type amp that is built to go into the studio with its low wattage or meant to be a good small gigging amp or practice amp.

SOUNDS
The clean on this amp is very good an with the higher rated wattage speaker you won't get any unwanted speaker breakup. This ensures that your clean tone will be nice and sweet all the way up through the levels of volumes.
The gain channel is a nice crunch tone that is very vintage in nature. The gain isn't going to be anything over the top but a nice crunch that will fit into most rock bands, country, or pop. This is a good cover song type amp as it has a good classic crunch tone that will fit in the generalized style or rock music. This is an amp that is a basic amp for subtle jamming and nothing as far as extra features of voicing options. This has a simple three band eq and to channel and it is pretty basic.
OVERALL OPINION
At new these come in right at around $750, which isn't bad for a goo two channel amp that is an all tube circuit design. I would recommend this amp to anyone who likes the sound of tubes firing pretty hot with low wattage and multiple channels that equally sound great. This is great amp that is under $900 that will be a great practice amp or small gigging.
