I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with this case. Over a year after I bought it that case still looks and functions great. I use this case with a BC Rich Warbeast NJ Deluxe. I know, I know, that's not a bass. But the body of the guitar is so long I needed a bigger case than the normal guitar-sized one. Cool thing is, I e-mailed Coffin Case asking which case would be the best for my guitar, and the CEO of the company got back with me! I really try my best to support small businesses, and I'm glad someone like them makes a good case.
I really do love how plush it is inside the case. My Warbeast is a pretty pointy guitar, and I wanted a case that would protect it well. This case does just fine in all respects. It has 5 latches on it total, 4 on the "front" of the case, and one on the "back" on the case. One of the latches on the front also locks, though I'm not sure how strong the lock actually is. There is also a compartment inside under the neck area, which is big enough to hold lots of extra strings, a tuner, tools, etc.
Overall, I've been more than pleased with this case ever since I got it.Though, there are several things I would change if given the chance, and I would gladly pay more for. I would prefer if all the latches on the case locked, instead of just one. I also wish Coffin Case made a flightcase style case for this guitar. Now, I know what you're thinking "That's a lot to ask for in a $140 case!" But as I said, I would be willing to pay more, but I just haven't found anyone else who makes cases that fit this guitar. Ah well, the price I pay for being different.
