It also cleans up very well and with its simple layout of EQ controls and a distortion overdose toggle switch you can get a assortment of great tones. You also have a high and low input for the guitar input which allows you to dial up even more versatility with this amplifier. This is a pretty well designed amplifier even know it has a simple look at how front panel. If you read most of the description of these amplifiers on Dr Z's website and you can find out how the preamp tubes interact with one another to give this get guitar amplifier its own unique tone. It sounds good and pretty much any application you said and so don't be afraid to use and distortion paddle out front or maybe some modulation or fax pedals.
OVERALL OPINION
You can find these guitar amplifiers for right around $1600 which is a good price for a boutique amplifier. It's certainly not cheap but this is for someone he knows exactly what they are looking for. These are also exceptionally great sounding amplifiers for recording sessions. So if you're using them in a ProTools or CubeBase session than these amplifiers would be to give you great sound and a great recording sound. It also great for digging but rated at 15 W you're deathly going to need a microphone for any type of decent too large stage setting.
