    UTILIZATION

Fret access is great, the neck-through really helps with that. Sounds great for Thrash Metal, but what else can one expect with EMG's? Clean sounds are OK, the 18 volt mod for the EMG's really helped with that.
Ergonomics aren't amazing, it is a little pointy, but one gets used to it fairly quickly. It tends to dig into your right thigh when you play sitting down, but standing up it's fine.

    SOUNDS

Now, this is what really matters, right? As I said, it sounds KILLER for Thrash metal.
Great tight sound, and it really cuts through. Cleans are a little sterile, which seems to be the major complaint with EMG's. The 18 volt mod really did help to warm things up though.

I run through a Peavey Ultra 2x12 all-tube combo pushing a Peavey 5150 Straight cab with Celestion V30's and G12T-75's. I really do feel that the EMG's help to keep the bass from stepping all over the treble. Great definition for chords and such. The Floyd Rose sounds great as well, and stays in tune forever, and it's very easy to get all sorts of crazy sounds out of it.

    OVERALL OPINION

Overall I think it's a great axe. This was actually my first electric guitar, and even though I know much more about gear now than I did then, I would still get it for the price I did. I got a B-stock model for $630 shipped.
It had a couple of totally minor defects that are way less noticeable than the dings and scratches that I have managed to put into it, and I baby my gear!

I would in total confidence recommend this guitar to anyone that is looking for a guitar that not only sounds great, but also stands out from all the other billions of Strats and Les Pauls.
