Cette guitare est une version de niveau moyen de l'une des broyeurs fameux Ibanez RG qui étaient très populaires dans les années quatre-vingt et nonante fin au début. Il faut que l'ambiance générale et il offre dans un package très simple et abordable qui est bien à la portée de n'importe quel joueur. Fidèle aux spécifications de l'RGS, il dispose d'un corps en tilleul, manche en érable avec une fine touche palissandre, 24 frettes, dents de requin inlays, mécaniques chromées scellé, un blocage non Ibanez a conçu deux vibrato point et une configuration de micros HSH (Ibanez Powersound micros) accouplé à un ensemble de volume et de tonalité, plus un switch 5 voies pour certaines tonalités Stratty simple bobinage. Ils sont fabriqués à l'étranger dans des endroits comme l'Inde, l'Indonésie ou la Chine, selon l'année et l'usine.

This guitar is a mid level version of the some of the famed Ibanez RG shredders that were very popular in the late eighties and early nineties. It takes that general vibe and provides it in a very simple and affordable package that is well within the reach of any player. True to the specs of the RGs, it features a basswood body, a thin maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 24 frets, sharktooth inlays, sealed chrome tuners, a non locking Ibanez designed two point tremolo system and an H-S-H pickup configuration (Ibanez Powersound pickups) mated with a set of volume and tone controls plus a 5 way switch for some Stratty single coil tones. They're made overseas in places like India, Indonesia or China depending on the year and factory.
Utilisation
Cette guitare est assez léger et ergonomique. Le RGS Ibanez ont toujours été connus pour la légèreté et cette guitare ne fait pas exception. Il ne pèse que 6 ou 7 livres et s'assoit sur le corps ainsi. Bien qu'il ne se sent pas près aussi raffiné que de nombreux haut de gamme guitares Ibanez que j'ai possédés ou joué, d'être une guitare de 300 $ ce n'est pas vraiment quelque chose que je m'occupe. Il dispose d'une grande case plus haute que tous les accès Ibanez 24 frettes guitares faire ... vraiment excellent. L'unité de tremolo n'est pas très grande hauteur à tenir, mais c'est aussi un bon marché fabriqués sans verrouillage unité ... il ne peut pas s'attendre à détenir jusqu'à tant que ça.
Obtenir un bon ton à cette guitare n'est pas difficile ... il est mis en place comme un superstrat moderne (SAS) et il va vraiment de sons clairs aux sons déformés sans trop de problème. Définitivement une guitare solide pour beaucoup de sons différents.

This guitar is fairly light and ergonomic. The Ibanez RGs were always known for light weight and this guitar is no exception. It weighs only about 6 or 7 pounds and sits on the body well. Though it doesn't feel nearly as refined as many of the high end Ibanez guitars that I've owned or played, for being a $300 guitar it's not really something I concern myself with. It features great upper fret access as all Ibanez 24 fret guitars do... really excellent. The tremolo unit isn't great at holding tune, but it's also a cheaply manufactured non-locking unit... it can't be expected to hold up that much.
Getting a good tone out of this guitar is not difficult... it is set up just like a modern superstrat (HSH) and it really goes from clean sounds to distorted sounds without much of a hitch. Definitely a solid guitar for many different sounds.

J'ai essayé cette guitare à travers un gréements quelques différente et je peux conclure que c'est une guitare sonne décente mais pas encore au niveau de celles de nombreux agréable. Les micros Ibanez Powersound faire un travail décent à offrir une variété de sons ensemble. Les humbuckers ont une réponse des basses bonne, avec un médium tranquille et une réponse raisonnable aigus (même si elle peut être un peu choquante à certains moments). Pour les sons clairs, je préfère utiliser les positions 2 et 4 sur le sélecteur parce qu'ils sont plus près des fac-similés d'un son Fender agréable. Le ton de la humbuckers fonctionne assez bien pour le nettoyage mais il est un peu générique / plate sonne sans beaucoup d'éclat. L'overdrive sons de travail quand le gain est appliquée, mais ils n'ont pas le plus rapide d'articulation pour les rythmes de travail ou de plomb. Cependant la plupart des joueurs utilisant ce serait les débutants qui sont en train d'apprendre leur style de toute façon si ce n'est pas vraiment un problème énorme.

I've tried this guitar through a few different rigs and I can conclude that it's a decent sounding guitar but still not at the level of many nicer ones. The Ibanez Powersound pickups do a decent job at providing a variety of sounds overall. The humbuckers have a good bass response, with a quiet midrange and a reasonable treble response (though it can be a bit jarring at times). For clean sounds I prefer using positions 2 and 4 on the selector switch because they're closer facsimiles of a nice Fender sound. The tone of the humbuckers works well enough for clean but it is a bit generic/flat sounding without a whole lot of sparkle. The overdrive sounds work when gain is applied but they don't have the greatest articulation for faster rhythms or lead work. However most players using this would be beginners who are just learning their style anyway so that's not really a huge issue.

Dans l'ensemble je pense que ce GRG170DX Ibanez n'est pas un mauvais petit guitare pour un débutant d'apprendre à connaître le sentiment Ibanez. Il est bien conçu et sa bonne mine. Le bijou bleu finition est un véritable étourdisseur et nous ramène à l'époque des années quatre-vingt quand les gars comme Paul Gilbert avait guitares similaires. Le matériel est vraiment pas terrible sur cette guitare, mais pour le prix je ne m'attendais pas à un tas de qualité. Ils ne sont pas de la guitare la plus cohérente que je recommande si vous le pouvez, essayez un tas de ces derniers à en trouver un, car certains sont bons, certains le sont pas.

All in all I think this Ibanez GRG170DX isn't a bad little guitar for a beginner to get to know the Ibanez feel. It's well crafted and looks good. The Jewel Blue finish is a real stunner and harkens back to the days of the eighties when guys like Paul Gilbert had similar guitars. The hardware really isn't great on this guitar but for the price I wasn't expecting a whole lot of quality. They're not the most consistent guitar so I recommend that if you can, try a bunch of these to find one, because some are good, some are not.
