Hi Jean-Luc
Thank you for your email. I was the person mixing the front of house sound at Lorient, and I can assure you that at all times the level was less than what I was told was the maximum permissable level.
We have had a very positive reaction to the show - yours is the first negative comment received.
My take on it was that as it was approaching 1am it was inevitable that some of the older and more tired audience members would be leaving. That was what I saw. You can't please everyone, and I don't compromise either our music or the enjoyment of the majority for the sake of a couple of people who maybe aren't suited to the environment.
I'm very sorry if you didn't enjoy it. When I see a band I generally carry earplugs with me so I can arrive at a comfortable level for myself if it's too loud - maybe you could try that next time?
Regards
Martin Russell
Notez que le monsieur ne sait pas vraiment la limite légale : "less than what I was told was the maximum permissable level. "
