This is a 20watt all tube amp. It is a single channel amp with, gain, volume, reverb, bass, mids, and treble controls. The reverb is tube driven and very lush sounding. It’s a cool feature that’s very useful.
The cabinet is actually plywood, not MDF, which is rare on cheap import amps. Overall the amp is surprisingly well built. I would have no worries when gigging Jet City amps.
UTILIZATION
This is a great sounding amp, no issues getting great quality tones. Having only one channel can be limiting but this amp is very dynamic. When you are running it full bore you can still clean it up really nicely but rolling off the volume and softening the dynamic of your pick attack.
SOUNDS
The tone is amazing. The clean tones are decent. Honestly if you're looking for pristine cleans this probably isn't the amp for you. The clean tones are very limited because the amp has little to no headroom. Like I said earlier, this amp does clean up nicely with rolling off the volume, but it never gets anywhere near pristine cleans. They still have a touch of dirt on them, which personally I like. But like I said, if you’re looking for an amp to do cleans you should look elsewhere.
The crunch tones are phenomenal. They sit so nicely in a band mix. They have a Marshally flair but definitely have their own thing going on. They are clean up pretty nice by just rolling off the volume knob. And if you through a boost in front of it it’s amazing. It gets a really nice high gain sound. If you can't tell, I love this amp.
My biggest complaint about the amp is that modulation pedals don't sound great in front of the amp. But otherwise is awesome.
OVERALL OPINION
This is hands down the best little combo amp I've ever played through. The crunch is amazing and the cleans are usable. Its an insane value at the price. I highly recommend it.
