« Perfect addition to any live dj/remix style set »

I run this in Ableton 8 on a Macbook Pro with a RME Fireface 800 and I have had zero compatibility issues. I have yet to look at the manual. I watched a few youtube videos about this plugin before I got it and they summed up the plugins ability quite nicely. Yes, the configuration is very simple. Instantiate it on any audio track/buss and (in my case) assign the 8 knobs and two faders to your midi controller and its instant remix chaos. They did a great job on the GUI making everything accessible within one to two mouse clicks. Basically you get your "control" screen that shows all the effects and a wet/dry knob for each. Simply click on that effect to get to that effects editing screen. Very nice.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I have had no crashes or glitches so far with this plugin. Whats even better is it replaced several other plugins I was using so it actually reduced my cpu foot print, which is HUGE for us "laptop" musicians. I have to give this unit a 10 out of 10. It requires little cpu but brings a lot to the table. I have been using it for about a month now for my live performance mainly.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about this unit is in addition to wet/dry knobs on each effect and for the whole unit as well, you get something called the "Dictator." Which is essentially a sequencer with a little twist for all the effects. The little twist is that instead of a "time Line" like you would fine on most sequencers, you instead have a window that you draw in areas that have each or all of the effects activated. You then use the Dictator fader to scan over those drawn in areas. In a nutshell, its like a very specific and editable wet/dry knob itself. So far, there is nothing I don't like about this plugin. $179 seems like a lot these days for an effect plugin, but it is really more like 8+ plugins in 1 and with the dictator, it truly is unique. I was apprehensive at first but now I am very happy about the price and the quality. I have been using Stutter Edit, Artillery 2 and Effectrix. This plugin has replaced Artillery 2 and several other plugins. Yes, I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to DJ's and Loop/Remix based musicians.
