Rapco Horizon's Standard Speaker Cable comes in all shapes and sizes. It's one of the cheapest ways you can get some speaker cable and still get something that is somewhat sturdy and should last for a bit if you treat it well. They say that these are hand soldered cables and the connections at the end are all nickel and they also come with a lifetime warranty, so if they break in theory you should be able to get some new ones, although sometimes this is easier said than done. I recently used a set of these at a gig where I hooked them up to the speakers from the mixer and also daisy chained them to the monitors we had in place. They felt sturdy in my hands and we didn't have any problems with them at all. It seemed like they had been used at the club for a while, which is a good sign as even though they had some physical wear and tear, they worked just fine. I've used some other cables from Rapco Horizon, and although they are certainly on the cheaper side, I've never really taken issue with them. Speaker cables aren't something that you want to spend much money on, especially for a PA system that might not be the best to begin with. If you need a small speaker cable for your amplifier head, this probably isn't the best way to go, but for longer cables for live sound, Rapco Horizon's Standard Speaker Cable seems to be a pretty solid way to go. The price is very reasonable and it's great that you can get them in pretty much any size you want. Check out these speaker cables if you're after some pretty sturdy (but not overly sturdy) cables for your PA system on the cheap.
