Excellent
(contenu en anglais)
This is primarily a chorus effect, which is created out of phase and pitch modulation with some delay thrown in.
This is 100% analog wetness, so no editing via computer, but their is some good old-fashioned knob turning and switch flicking which includes 4 exterior knobs and 2 internal switches.
EXT Depth/Speed/Pitch Mod. Mix/Chorus Mix
INT LFO Waveform/Delay
This is audio connection only.
It has three in/out configurations-
Mono-->Mono
Mono-->Stereo
Stereo-->Stereo
No, it is not rackable in the traditional sense.
UTILIZATION
The config. and setup are extremely easy, the beauty off all analog stuff.
The external is obviously easy and quick, but the inside I have not even messed with. I am just uneasy about opening up something that already sounds so good.
SOUND QUALITY
This is the best chorus pedal I have ever heard. The analog man chorus is really is awesome, but like the olympics, when you have things this good, one is only a little better than the other. In this case its the Diamond. This is a guitar effect, but I use this on both guitars and my Fender Rhodes. I even used this in the studio on my recent album for vocals, bass, and background ambience/samples. Very versatile!
OVERALL OPINION
I have had this pedal for 1 year. The best thing about this pedal is the amazing creamy/watery tones you can get out of it. My only complaint besides the two internal switches not being external (not that big of a deal really) is the very loose fitting of the ac plug's cable into the back of the pedal. It has been pulled out twice during gigs causing me to lose my signal.... kinda lame. I owned a boss super chorus first, and a line 6 pod also, which neither of these compared (not even close). But I did my research on this pedal and found reviews and audio samples and tried a few other high end pedals. This was indeed the sweetest. This is not a cheap pedal ( around $320 ) but it is worth every penny. I would indeed buy this pedal again and again and again if I need to.
