The Digitech CR-7 Stereo Chorus is a guitar effects pedal in Digitech's hardwire series of guitar pedals.  This pedal has standard 1/4 inch connections including two outputs and two inputs.  The pedal can be powered by either a 9 volt battery or power supply and isn't rack mountable as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

The make up of the Digitech CR-7 Stereo Chorus is straight ahead and doesn't have anything complicated about it.  It simply has four knobs that control the different parameters including knobs for level, speed, depth, and a knob to choose between seven different modes.  Some of the modes include modern, analog, boutique, vintage, jazz, and a few others.  That is all there is to the CR-7 and for this reason I do not believe that manual is needed.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Digitech CR-7 Stereo Chorus is definitely better than I expected to be and is actually quite good.  The pedal is not only versatile between of the different modes, but all of the modes are useful in my opinion.  I have used the pedal with a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb and I'm definitely able to get some pretty realistic sounding effects within this configuration.  While this isn't the most organic sounding chorus pedal I have used, it definitely makes up for this with versatility.

OVERALL OPINION

I only recently got a chance to use the Digitech CR-7 Stereo Chorus pedal and while it isn't my favorite chorus pedal out there, it definitely sounds good and is incredibly versatile.  I'm usually not a big fan of the pedals made by Digitech as they come off too digitally processed sounding for my taste, but this is definitely a step above most of the pedals that I have used that are made by them.  The price is very reasonable as is the case with most Digitech pedals and therefore it is a pedal that I would definitely recommend for anyone on a budget looking to get a good sounding chorus pedal that will give you a variety of tones.
