The T-Rex Engineering Beta Vibe is a chorus effect pedal designed for use with electric guitar but is capable of being used with any electronic instrument that you would want to use chorus with. The pedal has a 1/4 inch input and output and also has MIDI capabilities. The one I use is powered by T-Rex power supply, but I believe that other power supplies will work, it is just a matter of matching up the specs. This pedal isn't rackable as it is a stomp box.
UTILIZATION
The configuration of the T-Rex Engineering Beta Vibe is quite easy to follow. The pedal has knobs for mix, depth, volume, and speed, and also has two buttons - one for mode and one for MIDI. It has two separate buttons - one for engaging the effect and one for choosing between a slow and a fast effect and for tapping out the tempo. I never seen the manual for this pedal so I don't know if it would be helpful or not.
SOUND QUALITY
The T-Rex Engineering Beta Vibe is a really versatile pedal and I'm a big fan of pretty much all of the sounds that you can get from this pedal, and there are a lot of different ones. The pedal in general can be described as being really clean sounding and you can get all sorts of chorus sounds ranging from a leslie type sound to a subtler chorus effect. The parameters definitely provide the user with enough control and different sounding effects. I can't complain at all about this pedal as I really think it has a great sound.
OVERALL OPINION
I first used the T-Rex Engineering Beta Vibe only a few months ago, but I was definitely immediately mpressed with the tones that I could get with the pedal. The only downfall that I see with this pedal is the price as it will cost you a bit more than your average pedal would. This being said, it is definitely a great pedal and if you are looking for a top notch chorus pedal, definitely check out the Beta Vibe.
