The Klone Dual Percussion Synthesizer was produced in the UK by Honkey-Tonk Music back in the early eighties "a versatile and comprehensive percussion system, featuring two separate monophonic synthesizers, specially designed for percussive sound generation" ..so said the advertisements. There were a flurry of this kind of synth in the early eighties, along with the Pearl Syncussion SY-1, the Klone is one of the best around for its versatility and sound generating capabilities. You don't have to use pads with the Klone, as thoughtfully, the designers (Dick Straker?) included trigger inputs on the rear panel of the 'brain' (along with separate/mix outputs and a headphone socket).
