Analogue Bass drum Module with side chaine optical compressor

The Bvr-Instruments Bass Drum is a versatile fully analogue drum module designed to recreate the iconic bass drum sounds of the 808 and 909 drum machines and more.
It includes an optical side-chain compressor for seamlessly blending external audio sources with the bass drum sound.
This module offers external controls that provide various options for modulating the VCA, pitch, and waveform using CV inputs.
There are two available outputs: one for the primary bass drum sound, including the compressed signal, and another for the compressed signal alone.

Drum Signal Path
The primary triangular oscillator goes through a wave-shaper with a slider to smoothly transition the triangle waveform into a square wave.
A click generator is also present, with a slider for adjusting the click intensity.
Both signals are routed to separate VCAs.
The main output is BD, controlled by the Level Slider.
The bass drum has a "Decay" slider to control the drum's duration.
External CV "Env" offers additional control via an external envelope or modulation source.
The main oscillator provides two controls: "Tone" and "Snap."
"Snap" potentiometer adds a frequency component that decreases with "Decay," creating an impactful 909-style waveform.
In contrast, setting "Snap" to 0 maintains the initial "Tone" setting without pitch alteration, resulting in a sound reminiscent of 808-style drums.

Sidechain Path
The built-in optical side-chain compressor takes input from an external audio source connected to "Ext In.
The bass drum envelope signal shapes the volume reduction, with the "SideChain" potentiometer controlling the degree of reduction.
The "Level" potentiometer adjusts the output signal after reduction.
"Ext Out" provides the unaltered signal without the bass drum's influence.
You can blend the compressed signal with the primary bass drum output "BD" using the "Mix Ext" slider.
