Le A9031 est la recréation au format 500 du pré-ampli des consoles Helios, créées par Dick Swettenham pour les studios Olympic Studios et dont le son peut s'entendre sur les albums des Rolling Stones, des Who, de Led Zeppelin, Jimmy HENDRIX et tant d'autres.

Ce préampli est particulièrement recherché par les ingénieurs du son pour conférer le caractère typique des consoles britanniques classiques aux batteries, guitares électriques/acoustiques et voix.

En outre, ce module a la meilleure DI que j'ai été amené à utiliser.

Dick Swettenham's three transistor microphone preamp design is truly a thing of beauty. The sound of these microphone preamps is legendary. You've heard it on records made at Olympic Studios in the 60s and 70s. It is now available again in a 500 series module.
This version features a class-A transistor output stage which will drive the most demanding of loads. A vital feature since the original Olympic microphone preamps were integral parts of their respective mixing desks and never meant to be connected directly to an output.
Other additions include finer gain steps (5 dB), a high-impedance FET DI, phase reverse switch, and switchable phantom power.
