« Great tape for consoles! »

This is pretty solid tape for consoles, or any piece of hardware that you are using. When working in the studio, especially on bigger sessions, it becomes difficult to keep track of where everything is plugged in, in terms of instruments, microphones, pre-amps, outboard compression/EQs, etc. So this tape is a handy way of marking where each instrument is to allow for easy adjustment of input levels, thresholds, etc. However, you don't want just any old tape, as you don't want to leave residue. Gaff tape is good for this but it's oftentimes too big and strong, and isn't conducive to writing. This tape has the best of both worlds.
There isn't really much to say about this, there aren't many companies who make tape specifically for consoles, so this one is actually the only kind of I've ever used. That being said, I doubt I'll ever look elsewhere, as this is probably the cleanest, and easiest tape to use that is out there. I know this because I've never had a problem with it at all.
It's a great price (it's tape, it should be a great price, really!) but buying it in bulk helps, most studio owners know this by now. I think it's worth it for a studio owner to go with this, as the residue is minimal and it won't damage the equipment. Plus the marker won't leak through the tape at all, which is great if you want to keep your console or gear looking new.
