Description
Originally, Greco created this guitar around 1976 for the Japanese market, and its subsidiary Ibanez marketed it in Europe and the USA.
This particular model is from 1978. Between the original and this one, Paul Stanley made some changes, and Greco revised its various models.
The humbucker pickups give it a warmer, bluesier sound than the DiMarzio pickups.
I've replaced the potentiometers (the black ones will be included) with a clear crystal model that blends in perfectly with all the chrome parts. One of the tuners is missing its small cap. There are a few small dings here and there (see photos).
This Greco is a fine example of Japanese craftsmanship. The finish is superb, and the color is very rich.
I bought it in Japan, and of course, I was taxed when I went through customs (VAT plus another customs duty). This model is very difficult to find in Europe. Here's your chance.
You are welcome to try it in Paris.
I am also selling my guitar collection: Gibson SG Tobacco ; Fender Stratocaster ; Ibanez Iceman autographed by Paul Stanley ; Gretsch acoustic ; Greco Mirage ; Greco Eagle ; Greco Les Paul ; Ovation ; recording equipment ; Japanese rock vinyl records including KISS ; etc...
