Bonjour à toutes et à tous,

Je viens de faire l'acquisition d'une Musicman Stingray 4 d'occasion. :aime: :mdr: :bravo:

Je cherche à dater cet instrument (année de fab...) :(((

Est ce que quelqu'un connait un site que permettrait de faire ce genre de chose (ce n'est pas possible sur le site Ernie ball) ?

Je ne connais pas de site pour, mais c'est dans la plupart des cas les deux (ou quatre)premier chiffres du n° de série

Si je me fis à mon numéro de série, la basse daterait de 1999. le seul truc qui me tracasse, c'est que le chevalet possède encore le système avec étouffoires en mousses. Ce système aurait disparu depuis 1997 (d'après plusieurs possesseurs). L'instrument est en superbe état (proche du neuf !), seul le manche (touche érable) est un peu "patiné".

Je continu, donc, mes recherches. Encore merci de votre aide. :clin:

La mienne a un numéro de série à 5 chiffres: 34XXX
Je pensait que le premier chiffre concernait l'année (1993 en l'occurence).
Elle comporte les étoufoirs en caoutchouc.

J'ai remarqué depuis quelques années que le bois du manche maple des musicman est moins luxueux : le mien est du 'bird eye maple' . C'est à dire que c'est de l'érable moucheté (oeil d'oiseau in french !). C'est top , super beau , plus beau que l'érable uniforme en tous cas. Je ne pense pas que cela joue sur la qualité sonore.
Pour info je l'ai payée d'occaze 5900 F en 1994 :mdr:

La datation au carbone 14 demande un labo, des techniciens, des ingénieurs et la précision du résultat vu la jeunesse de ta Musicman te donnera un résultat précis à 2000 ans près :mdr:

Le nombre de désintégrations par unité de temps, soit l'activité a s'exprime donc par :
