    Exactement la même que le Ashdown ABM de la même puissance. Ce qu'il faut retenir: un combo qui a beaucoup de patate, très chaleureux, beaucoup de possibilité et un look bien rock'n'roll.

    UTILISATION

    Configuration très simple le range de chaque potard et faders est noté dessus.
    Il fait parti de ces amplis ou en réalité "quelques soit le réglage" le son est bon. Les boutons ne servent qu'à donner la couleur qu'on recherche même si on remarque une tendance ampegisante.

    DI intégré pas terrible, j'ai opté pour une Radial passive que je branche dans la boucle d'effet pour avoir la coloration du préamp.

    SONORITÉS

    Pour tout les styles! Je pense surtout que c'est le musicien et l'instrument qui va ou non pouvoir s'adapter à un style plus que l'ampli.

    Je l'utilise avec une Musicman Stingray 3eq et parfois avec une precision "vintage" (squier) que j'ai totalement modifiée (nouvelle électronique, micro Bar Knuckle)

    N'utilisez jamais l'octaver (sub harmonic sur l'ampli) c'est vraiment dégueulasse! Pour le reste c'est très polyvalent, le compresseur aide pas mal!

    AVIS GLOBAL

    Je l'utilise depuis 2 ans et j'en suis ravi. Dommage qu'il coute si chère (je l'ai eu pour un très bon prix en fait) car en réalité la version ABM fait exactement la même chose (mise à part les HP) donc pour la différence de prix je préférerai prendre l'ABM.

    These new Klystron amps are an evolution of the preamps that John Entwhistle collaborated with Ashdonw to develop one of he best bass amps in the world. After several years later Ashdown decided to release a whole line of the Klystron amps in varies heads an combos.

    This combo is a 2x10 500 watt combo that will be perfect for just about any gig and band setting. There is enough power here to cut through the mix and still have some headroom. It is great for recording as well with the lineout of the preamp. If you need the extra speaker you can always use the speaker outputs.

    SOUNDS

    I have to say that I am a huge fan of the Ashdown products and this is just another testament of their highly reputable company. This amp sound so tight in the low end with the 10 inch speakers. The cabinet just compliment the tone of these speakers quite well. You can feel the thunderous low end when you are able to dial in the sub harmonics perfectly to your bass guitar.

    Just about any guitar sound good through this amp. This amp will compliment what ever existing guitar that you own. I prefer a Rickenbacker 4001 with these amps. I find that the tone of the Rickenbacker is capable of adding to the nature frequencies of the Klystron.

    OVERALL OPINION

    At new you can find these for right around $ 1950. This is a bit high for something like this. So this amp might be out of the price range of a lot of folks. But believe me if you can get your hands on a Klystron you will never look back. They are that good.

    I would recommend this to anyone who needs probably the best sounding bass amp in the world. So for you gear heads this is the "one".
