"Pultec-style" dual channel vacuum tube equalizer

  • combines pure valve technology with digital control
  • passive filter with low, medium and high frequency bands,
  • low frequency band block enables either boost, attenuation or simultaneous boost/cut operation of 6 different frequencies from round 20 Hz (low bass) up to around 120 Hz (upper bass) in 0.5 dB increments. Low boost gain can extend to about + 14 dB and low cut attenuation down to - 17 dB.
  • The medium frequency band block allows attenuation of a huge range of 24 different frequencies (16 available from the front panel) from around 250 Hz (lower midrange) up to 6.5 kHz (very end of middle treble range) in 0.3 dB steps with "Q" control (sharp / broad).
  • The high frequency band block is split in 2 separate sections (boost and cut) that can be operated independently. The high boost range maximum gain is + 18 dB and has got 27 different frequency selections (16 available from the front panel) from around 500 Hz (middle midrange) up to 16 kHz (top octave range) in 0.6 dB steps with "Q" control (sharp / broad). The high cut range attenuation is - 10 dB and 6 frequencies are available from 4 kHz to 18 kHz in 0.3 dB steps.
  • 99 available memory banks or remotely via Ethernet network from the computer (Mac/PC).
  • Signal ground can be lifted at both input and output stages through dedicated switches. A bypass switch allows to bypass the equalization curves
  • link option associates the 2 channels so they can function in true stereo mode, where all settings are controlled from one channel and capacitor/inductor elements are fully matched for perfect stereo balance. In addition the link control can be set so that only part of the control settings are linked, for example one can link the low band blocks of channel A and B, whilst controlling the rest of the bands individually.

• Input impedance: 600 Ω

• Output impedance: < 600 Ω

• Loss: none, insertion loss restored by amplifier, gain 1:1

• Distortion: 0.1% @ 6 dBm into 600 Ω

• Form factor: 19" 4U

• Tubes: 2x ECC82 (12AU7), 2x ECC83 (12AX7)
