Hofner Guitars Verythin Green Line Guitar

The new Höfner Verythin Green Line guitar, the latest addition to the Green Line range of guitars.

As with the Green Line Violin Bass this guitar has virtually eliminated the use of plastics, which are now increasingly recognised as a threat to our environment. The binding, knobs, pickup frames, knobs, truss rod cover, head plate and even the logo are all made of walnut (Nussbaum). It is finished in a safe (certified for children’s toys) wax that is easy to keep clean and easy to repair later if necessary.

It has a spruce top, maple back and sides, maple neck. A pair of NOwaxx humbuckers are fitted, made exclusively for Höfner by this small Bavarian firm. The fretboard is also of walnut which we found to be equally as good for tone and playability as traditional, but now endangered, rosewood.

Overall the Green Line Verythin presents a new look and style for the 21st century, its simple good looks, the inventive use of woods to replace plastics and its green pedigree are sure to appeal to the growing number of people who care about the planet we all share.
