Costaud et raffiné
Publié le 09/08/11 à 07:36 (contenu en anglais)If you have seen one Fender Stratocaster you have seen them all pretty much. If you have heard a Fender Stratocaster you have heard them all. American made or Mexican made their tones are only hairs between he the two. Fender Stratocaster guitars have that classic look to them that countless guitar builders and makers have copied time and time again. These guitars stand out just like anything else in rock n roll history.
This guitar has a great sound and feel with the added humbucker and deep rosewood finished fretboard. The tone is darker as well much like any guitar that would have a humbucker in the bridge. These guitars do have a brighter tone so the the mix with the darker fretboard is a nice touch. It is not overly dramatic is tonal change but really subtle.

Every Fender Stratocaster I have ever played needed the pickups replaced. So for every Fender Strat out there you are going to have to replace the pickups. It amazes me that someone like Fender who have build some of the world best guitars and amps completely and utterly fail at making pickups. Its not only Fender but Gibson pickups suck as well. Their pickups have to be the most horrible garbage sounding pickups in the world. I'm sure that someone out there has topped them but their pickups are just trash. The dark pick guard and the gray paint job give the impression that this is a badass guitar. So your attitude towards this guitar could aid it how you play it. I know this is far fetch but some guitars that have that cosmetic attitude lend themselves to making the user attack the guitar differently. I know I play a Tele different than I do a Gibson Les Paul.
OVERALL OPINION
If you look around you can find these new for right at around 999, that is a fantastic price for this very workable and versatile work. I believe that these pickups are not that great so I would swap them out for some Seymour Duncans real quick. This is a player's guitar and a very good gigging guitar. Not a showroom piece and not something for the collector.

Publié le 06/10/11 à 07:03 (contenu en anglais)The Fender HSS series guitars are quite a good foot forward for me when it comes to versatility in guitars. I prefer humbucker s in my guitars so the fact that my favorite body shape guitar has a humbukcer in it is a nice feature. This guitar features three pickups with a humbucker in the bridge position a single coil in the middle and a single coil in the neck position. This allows for some great tones to be had with a selection of different pickups.

I really prefer these guitars with the Marshall JCM 800 amplifier of some sort. Or just any hundred watt Marshall amplifier in general. It's the same set up that Jimi Hendrix and so many other players after him have used and it's such a great and fantastic and easy tone to chief. These guitars are fantastic when coupled with the good delay pedal or maybe an overdrive pedal and a solid amplifier of some kind. If you're into clean amplifiers and like to use a lot of the effects or pedals then a fender clean amp such as a twin reverb or Princeton amp will do you very well. If you're more into higher gain tones that I suggest playing this through a Mesa boogie amplifier or even a Marshall amplifier of some sort. Either way this guitar with sound great in pretty much any mix to you have. They aren't that great at drop tuning or alternate tunings as much but they will give you a great solid clean or dirty guitar tone.
OVERALL OPINION
This is one of the most established guitars in the instrument industry. You can find them in just about every single guitar shop and music shop around the world. They are priced new at right around $1000 but you can find them very easily in the used classified section. I highly recommend this guitar to any guitar player out there because of its warm tone and its solid feel. The humbucker is a nice touch for the superstrat person or player.00 - iamqman

This color combo on this guitar is very cool. I love the silver and black hardware/pickguard. Fender Stratocaster is probably my favorite guitar in existence. Of course I'm talking more about the super strat of the Fender Stratocaster series with the humbucker installed but nonetheless the whole body shape and feel and the tonal balance is just perfect for me. I am just absolutely in love with the shape and overall voice of this guitar. It's one remarkable guitar that has been influential to guitar builders for decades now. It's a simple design yet produces such great results.

These guitars do have a brighter tone so the the mix with the darker fretboard is a nice touch. It is not overly dramatic is tonal change but really subtle. I primarily play a Fender Stratocaster with the Marshall style amplifier. Couple that guitar and amp with an analog delay pedal or even an analog chorus pedal and you can get some solid 80s and modern new music tones. I primarily keep the Fender Stratocaster pickup selector in the neck pick up position. I really like the tone of the Fender Strat in the neck position because it gets a good chimy bluesy tone.
OVERALL OPINION
At new you can find these for right around $999 which is a great price for this guitar. if you are looking for a good solid super start then this is about the best price that you can find. Only if this had a Floyd Rose tremolo on it then it would be perfect! This is a great guitar for the money and a super guitar for the tone.00 - Hatsubai
Style moderne
Publié le 10/10/11 à 23:20 (contenu en anglais)Fender is at it, once again. This time, it's the standard American series strat that comes in an HSS configuration and a pretty cool silver/black combination paint scheme that gives this a nice, modern look. The guitar features an alder body, a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, 22 frets, dot inlays, a two point tremolo system, HSS configuration, locking tuners, one volume, two tones and a five way switch.
UTILIZATION
The guitar had a bit of a neck joint gap on it, but it wasn't too severe. I've seen worse. There is always a debate as to whether or not this affects tone, and while I think it does have some impact on tone, I feel it has more string alignment impact than anything else. If the neck gets knocked hard and gets shifted, the high e might be coming off the fretboard, and that's more of a concern to me than a 2% drop in tone. The fretwork on this was decent, and it was about what you'd expect from Fender these days. The neck shape was real nice, and I really enjoyed the overall thickness of it. I wish it had a flatter radius, though.
SOUNDS
The guitar had SCN pickups. These are special noiseless pickups that absolutely rock. They're not your daddy's single coils, though. If you're expecting a great blues tone, I'd recommend searching elsewhere as these are more meant for rock and other gain applications. They're a lot more modern sounding. This guitar has a special push button on it to engage a sort of capacitor on the pickups, and it's not something I recommend using as it just muddies up the tone. The pickups worked great with high gain, and they can even do metal. I especially liked the neck on this. It was ridiculous how quiet they were, too. However, they didn't have that sweet blues tone that the other American pickups tend to have.
OVERALL OPINION
The guitar is very solid, and I especially like the color scheme this one has going on. I enjoy the modern bridge and 22 frets, but the radius on these guitars can be a bit of a pain for me as I'm used to playing guitars like Ibanez and the such. If you're looking for one, be sure to buy used as you can get a killer deal on these on ebay and the such.00 - iamqman
Simple guitare grands
Publié le 11/10/11 à 06:11 (contenu en anglais)What can I say about the Fender Stratocaster that hasn't already been said and used and recorded in almost every album since they started playing the electric guitar. These guitars are such fine instruments in the beauty and quality and they just flat-out remarkable. They have such a great soul a great feel and overall just a great tone. These are simple designed guitars and there's not a whole lot of features and functionality to them.

These guitars sound great with any amplifier or any effects pedals that you have laying around. Whenever your system is that you're running this guitar will fit quite well into that network. I primarily like these guitars with a Marshall amplifier of some sort. They sound good and pretty much anything so it doesn't really matter what you have is that sound great. I just really like the tone of these guitars with a good Marshall for input amplifier because of the nice punchy tone that the JMP Marshall amplifier's have.
OVERALL OPINION
You find these guitars pretty much anywhere you look for musical gear. Most retailers carry Fender Stratocaster. So I suggest going in and try out different necks in different weights in different colors to find out which one that you gel and jive with. They're not that expensive as an instrument and you can find them just around thousand dollars or so pending on where you look. If you're looking in the use section you can find them pretty easily there as well. They hold their value quite well and they're such a great instrument for collection or use.00 - iamqman
Super début!
Publié le 11/10/11 à 05:33 (contenu en anglais)The Fender stratocaster is simply a fantastic instrument from the ins and outs of the electronics to the wood to the construction to build and the balance and pretty much everything about it just is simply amazing. I am a fanboy of the Fender Stratocaster and I can not deny that this is such a great instrument from its tone to its versatility and everything in between. This is such a fine instrument even when it was produced up until now with little subtle changes of the neck pickup. This is simply just an amazing instrument that sounds phenomenal with any style of music. I absolutely love the look of these guitars as well which is another attribute this fine instrument.

The tone of these guitars are fantastic, primarily because it has such a versatility with its humbucker pickup installment of the bridge and then need to single coil pickups in the middle and neck position. This gives this guitar a great versatility overall because of the different pick up setter installed. See you can essentially get a nice clean spanky tone if you have a nice Fendor clean amplifier or something like that or you can get a really raunchy aggressive humbucker thick distortion sound if you were using a nice high again or medium gain amplifier. These guitar for work with any amplifier you have and they sound good night after night no matter where you're playing. They are a fine instrument and will play with such fine precision and dynamics. It has such a great feeling a certain soul to them that makes them extremely appealing to many guitarist around the world.
OVERALL OPINION
If there was one guitar that I had to set along for the rest of my life it would probably be Fender Stratocaster mainly because it has such a great versatility and with this option of the humbucker installed in the bridge it's a win-win for me. You can get so many great tones with this guitar and the look of it is superb as well. I'm really in love with paint job is well on this guitar because it just matches the soulful youth and aggression but yet refined vintage feel and look. You can find these guitars for right around thousand dollars or so which is a great price and a great bargain for an American built hot rod machine.00 - iamqman

Publié le 11/10/11 à 06:08 (contenu en anglais)A great guitar and a simple setup You have three single coil pick ups with a volume control knob into tone control knobs. You also have a pick up selector that allows you to pick each pick up individually or select the position in between the two pick ups. Other than that it's a pretty basic and self explanatory guitar. Just roll up the volume can control knob but I onto your favorite am setting in there you go. There's not any push pull knobs or any other booster switches or any other different things added on his guitar. It's just a straight ahead rock 'n roll instrument let's be play hard and used.

I love the tone of these guitars primarily because they have such a feel and organic soul that is sometimes missing a lot of guitars now days. If you've ever played some other boutique guitars they just don't have the right fuel and soul of the Fender Stratocaster. There's a lot of boutique builders out there that take influence from this guitar but there's just something missing with them that they are not able to capture with these fender Stratocaster guitars. These guitars excel in what ever environment that you put them in. I live the black and silver look although it adds nothing to the tone t just gives that impression of a rocking guitar which could add a little aggression to your playing style. Perhaps that adds some tone.
OVERALL OPINION
You can find these guitar pretty easily on ebay and other online retailers. Finding this particular color maybe be a little bit more tricky to track down. however, if you are not into this color this particular guitar with another color option will be very easy t find. I recommend this guitar to any one who wants more versatility out of their Strat.00 - iamqman

These guitars sound fantastic and pretty much any setting you put them in. Whether you are you playing a clean amplifier from the Fender amplifier or a medium gain amplifier from a Paul Reed Smith amps or even a high watt/ high gain amplifier from Marshall or Mesa Boogie. This guitar to drive your tone and drive your sound to sonic bliss. These guitars sound just fantastic when you couple them with a nice overdrive pedal or any other effects pedal of some sort. Viens chez moi
Publié le 11/10/11 à 19:29 (contenu en anglais)The Fender Stratocaster is exceptional and versatile instrument that has lasted generations of new guitar exploration. So many boutique builders uses Fender Stratocaster as their main influence to build their new custom guitars. This is a simple design a simple look and exceptional sound. The bare wood look is a nice vintage look to this guitar.
UTILIZATION
These guitars feature three single coil pickups a volume control knob and two tone control knobs. As well as a pickup selector that allows you to pick up five different tonal options. There's not a whole lot of extra switches or boosts in this guitar but just a great look and overall great paint job as well. Simple guitar with classic design.
SOUNDS
The tone of these guitars are fantastic and I really like them coupled with a good high gain amplifier. I lean more towards high gain amplifier than a clean amplifier with a overdrive or distortion pedal out front. I primarily like to get my saturation and distortion from the tubes of the amplifier themselves. So this guitar to give me a great sustain and a great fluid sound and is a good match with my simple set up. I don't use a lot of pedals or effects or mods but maybe just an analog delay or some chorus that allows me to get a full three-dimensional sound with a single coil pickup guitar such as this one. Overall it's a great instrument and will sound good in any setting that you may have.
OVERALL OPINION
These guitarists are priced new right at around the thousand dollars or so . You can find them used very easily as well online or in craigslist. I highly recommend these guitars to anyone because are great instruments and their great for recording or digging. The tone of this guitar is very brilliant and exciting to play. As a nice sustain and a very organic and natural tone. Overall this is a brilliant instrument and a fun guitar play. I love the curvature of the body because it just naturally melts into your guitar stance. It feels comfortable and the tone is very inviting for most styles of music. It doesn't sound like good when you use it in modern type music as far as heavy metal and stuff like that but if you have it in a pop rock country setting in this guitar is a great instrument to use.

UTILISATION
