    Excellent « mini » guitare

    Jouer sur un blackstar HT1R mk2 et un boss katana 100 mk2.
    Son Claire et crunch tres Bon, comme sa grande sœur de la même époque.


    Cette stratocaster est une version plus petite de la stratocaster, même taille que la mini de chez squier, cependant la comparaison s’arrête là (j’ai eu aussi 2 mini squire et une Ibanez mini)
    Le mienne est noir.

    La qualité global de l’instrument est vraiment excellente, après un passage chez le luthier pour un réglage complet et un passage en 10/52 côté cordes, j’en suis ravis.
    bon son, tenu d’accordage parfait, facilité de jeux liée à sa taille.
    Un vrai coup de cœur affectif, je la joue régulièrement, moins que mes autres guitares, mais je l’adore.…

    Je l’ai, je la garderais longtemps 🎸
    J’ai même pensé à la faire évoluer (micro, hardtail, cordes 11/54…) mais elle est déjà vraiment top comme ça.

    UTILIZATION

    <span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Verdana;">The Fender Stratocaster Junior has a shorter scale than a standard Stratocaster.

    Compared to a standard Stratocaster scale, the scale of this guitar is 2 frets and ¼th of a fret shorter.

    <span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Verdana;">The Fender Stratocaster Junior is designed to give a comfortable and easy play to children around 9 to 14 years old, as well as to people with rather smaller hands.

    Adults can also play this instrument without any problem, and therefore use it as a travel guitar.

    Except the scale length the major differences between the Junior Stratocaster and a standard Stratocaster are that there is only a master Tone pot (instead of 2 Tone pots for the Neck and Middle pickups on a standard Stratocaster), and that there is a fix bridge (instead of a tremolo bridge on a standard Stratocaster).

    There is an easy way to have a ROUGH idea of how it feels to play on such a smaller scale instrument :
    You put a capo at the 2nd fret of your standard scale guitar, and then you tune the guitar back down to E-A-D-G-B-E.
    It is going to give you something similar, except that the neck of the Junior guitar is slightly thinner and narrower than the Standard scale one.</span>

    SOUNDS

    <span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Verdana;">The Stratocaster Junior sounds just like a standard Stratocaster with single coil pickups.

    Dued to the shorter scale, and in order to tune it to E-A-D-G-B-E, it is preferable to use a slightly heavier string gauge. For instance a set of 10-52 strings will give a great rich tone to the guitar and improve the stability of it's intonation.

    IT IS A STRATOCASTER, just a little smaller.

    OVERALL OPINION

    <span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: Verdana;">The Fender Stratocaster Junior is really a great instrument, and it's a pity that it has been discontinued (at the moment when I write this report - dec 2009).
