Ibanez is really known for their very inexpensive budget friendly instruments. Many other guitars range around $300-$600. They do have some more expensive models such as the prestige or signature models that fetch a much higher price tag. But overall most of their instruments range around the first initial price I mentioned. This gives many musicians such as myself and many others affordable guitars that sounds great in pretty much any setting an application.

SOUNDS
This guitar features a mahogany base wood with a flame maple top. This gives the instrument a very resident deep throaty type tone primarily because of the warm mahogany wood that is used in the body. When you couple that with the flame maple top which generally is a higher frequency type would you get a great balance of frequencies and tone. One of things I don't particular care about this guitar is the gold hardware that is throughout the instrument. I never been a fan of gold hardware and I usually leaning towards chrome and sometimes black. Overall that doesn't shape or control any of the tone of the guitar but it just cosmetically looks a little strange to me. This guitar still sounds great in pretty much any application you put them in to so don't be afraid to try it in a clean or even an ultra high gain setting.
OVERALL OPINION
These guitars have been discontinued now for quite some time so the only way to get one is in the use classifieds online or in many forums. This is a cool guitar for the money but I honestly find that many of the newer Ibanez models feature some great features and are much more accessible guitars. This is a great guitar if you can find one for decent by price than I suggest grabbing it.
