Why choose a Saraz?

Over the last 20 years, the handpan world has exploded — from a single maker to hundreds, with instruments ranging from a few hundred to several thousand euros.

Yet, tuning stability and tonal richness remain the hallmark of true master builders.

Jason Raz founded Saraz in 2012, when there were only about 10 handpan makers worldwide.
Twelve years later, his expertise stands out for:

– refined, balanced, and powerful acoustic design
– rich, precise, and stable harmonics
– sensitive dynamic response, perfect for both melodic and rhythmic play
– and above all: exceptional tuning stability — no retuning needed in over 7 years(!), unlike many other brands that require €200–400 yearly maintenance.
