Empress Drive Recall Notice
Hey everyone,
Some customers have reported an issue with their Empress Drive pedal. When the Mid Freq pot is wiggled, the audio drops out. We are currently replacing the pots on all Drives in our warehouse to ensure no more units are shipped with this issue, but there is a chance that any Drive with a serial number between 1 and 740 has been affected.
Unfortunately, wiggling the pots wasn’t part of our testing process. But it sure is now!
To test your unit, turn your Mix and Midrange controls fully clockwise, then wiggle the Mid Freq pot. If your pot is defective, you’ll hear the mids drop out. There is a video at the bottom of this email that shows you exactly how to test and listen for the issue.
If you experience this issue, please go to empresseffects.com/repair to submit a ticket. We’re committed to repairing each pedal within 7 days of receiving it, and we will of course cover all shipping costs incurred.
