Epiphone a été racheté par Gibson en 1957, durant presque 15 ans la production des guitares et autre produits de la marques étaient des calques ou des versions sensiblement modifiées du catalogue de Kalamazoo. Le Pacemaker est le pendant Epiphone, made in USA, du Gibson Skylark GA-5T, lui-même une réponse aux Fender Champ et autres Princeton ! Ce petit combo fait environ 12 watts au travers d'un HP de 10 pouces (ici remplacé par un Jensen). Le tremolo est top, l'ampli prend un très beau crunch lorsqu'on le pousse dans ses retranchements.
