    This is a tube preamp designed to work with Randall/Egnater MTS amps...It is made by Salvation Mods out of the Czech Replublic and is designed to be like an ENGL Powerball along with some other ENGL elements found in other ENGL amps...
    It connects into an RM4, RM50, RM100, RM22, etc...
    It comes equipped with many tonal options...You can control the highs, mids, and lows easily and effectively...


    UTILIZATION

    Easy to use...The toggles are great:
    Contour adjusts the mids
    Gain Boost works perfectly
    Mid Edge gives you more bite
    Noise Gate keeps things under control

    The tone is tight and aggressive. I would say it sounds like a tight Marshall that really cuts in the highs and mids...It seems to like any power tubes but I stick with EL34s which contributes to the Marshall vibe...
    There are no directions as it's plug and play and simple to use...

    Salvation Mods has great customer service and always makes sure the customer is happy...

    All you need to have one made is a donor (stock) module and a postage box to send it to the EU...

    SOUNDS

    This thing sounds amazing...If you play fast riffs with a heavy tone, you will LOVE LOVE LOVE this module...It captures the ENGL essence in every way...

    My fave tones outta this thing are HIGH gain, all toggles engaged, volume up!

    It doesn't do much by way of cleans but delivers a tremendous amount of usable gain and nice mids to boot...

    As for settings, I like full highs and lows with half to three-quarter mids...The EQ is easy to use and sits well in any mix....

    OVERALL OPINION

    If you are looking at this, you already know the magic of MTS amps...You also have found your way to the modded side of the module dance...Salvation Mods is a great company that makes very accurate and killer modules...The Angel is one of the best out there...

    For the price, you get every bit of ENGL you could want...

    Resale is also great for these mods...You can't go wrong...If you don't like it, it's very easy to flip to acquire a different mod to try...
