The Moog Minimoog Voyager is a rack mount Analog synth that will take up more than one rack space/unit if you want to rack it. Or you can use it just on a desktop or workspace and it will be fine. If you have been in search of an analog synth that can do anything your brain can think up, then look no farther. The Moog Minimoog Voyager can do it all, it has over 120 presets with 3 oscillators. It does support MIDI in and out as well as some analog envelope generators. So plug up your MIDI keyboard and let your imagination run wild with the Moog Minimoog Voyager.
UTILIZATION
You really cannot expect to edit sounds any easier than you can on the Moog Minimoog Voyager. There are so many knobs and parameters to mess with you could spend hours just on one preset by tweaking different ways each time. The great thing is that you don’t have to be a sound designer to understand the Moog Minimoog Voyager or to use it. If you are a sound designer than you will be right at home with this analog synth.
SOUNDS
Editing all of your sounds is simple and the manual is easy to understand. Setting up the Moog Minimoog Voyager does not require anything in particular, you will just need to have all of your connections right like your MIDI controller to play the sounds, and then your audio out going into your sound card, interface, or external speakers.
OVERALL OPINION
All of the sounds are thick and full, add some effects to them and it is perfect for electronic music. If you are looking for that classic moog sound, then this will give it too you. Put those “moog” VST synths to rest and work with a real model. The Moog Minimoog Voyager can do it all, and it will last a long time. The unit is well made and has a solid structure.
