I have had no compatibility issues so far running this on my Macbook. I have not needed to reference the manual as this is a fairly simple plugin. Yes, the general configuration is simple and setting it up is very simple too. Its really a matter of selecting individual sounds or grabbing a whole kit, do some tweaking with the parameters to the right and thats it. The typical functions are fairly easy to access in regards to the fact that they are all right in front of you. Some of the buttons and text are very small though and hard to read.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I run this synth on Logic 9 and Ableton 8 and so far it seems to work great. As I mentioned with the Waldorf PPG synth, for some reason the laptop keyboard doesn't respond well with this plugin in Ableton 8. It works great with a real midi board but the laptop keyboard is sluggish and basically decides when it wants to play the note you hit. The software is very stable, no crashes or lost presets. As for performance with a midi controller, it works perfectly well. I have been using this for two months.

OVERALL OPINION

What I like most about this synth is the sounds. It has about 9 kits that are all pretty good sounding. They are designed to sound like old drum machines so actual acoustic drum realism is not what we are going for here. I really enjoy the 808 and the 9000 kits, very fun to play with and generally make me want to write some old late 80's hip hop, haha. I guess the only thing that irritates me about this synth is it can be hard to read in a live setting. I wish everyone followed the format of Logic 9 where you can expand the size of you plugins and everything inside the GUI gets bigger too. I paid $100 for this and two other plugins. I like this one the most out of the three so I am ok with paying the price for mainly this guy. I give it a 10 out of 10 for sound quality. Pretty believable to me. Yes, I have used a lot of other drum synths like Impulse, battery, Ultrabeat, tattoo, etc... and this one is a very small stripped down synth in comparison. Yes, I would buy this one again, its nice to have a drum synth that is just designated for these old sounds.

Je n'ai eu aucun problèmes de compatibilité sur mon Macbook. Je n'ai pas eu besoin d'utiliser le manuel car c'est un plugin assez simple. Oui, la configuration générale est simple et sa mise en place est très simple aussi. C'est vraiment une question de sélection des sons individuels ou de sélection d'un kit complet, de faire quelques bons ajustements avec les paramètres  et c'est tout. Les fonctions typiques sont assez faciles d'accès, tout tombe sous la main. Certains de ces boutons et descriptions sont très petits et difficiles à lire.

ADÉQUATION/PERFORMANCE

Je lance ce synthé sur Logic 9 et Ableton Live 8 et jusqu'à présent il semble fonctionner à merveille. Comme je le disais avec le synthé Waldorf PPG, pour quelque raison le clavier d'ordinateur portable ne répond pas bien avec ce plugin dans Ableton Live 8. Il fonctionne très bien avec un vrai clavier midi, mais le clavier d'ordinateur portable est lent et décide essentiellement quand il veut jouer la note que vous tapez. Le logiciel est très stable, pas de plantages ou de presets perdu. Quant à la performance avec un contrôleur MIDI, il fonctionne parfaitement bien. Je l'ai utilisé comme ça pendant 2 mois.

AVIS GLOBAL

Ce que j'aime le plus dans ce synthé est le son. Il a environ 9 kits qui sonnent tous très bien. Ils sont conçus pour ressembler au anciennes boite à rythme, mais pas à des sons acoustiques. J'apprécie vraiment les 808 et les 9000 kits, très amusant de jouer avec et en général me donnent envie d'écrire quelques vieux  hip hop, haha de la fin des années 80. Je pense que la seule chose qui m'agace sur ce synthé est qu'il peut être difficile à lire en live. J'aimerais que tous suivent le format de Logic 9 où vous pouvez étendre la taille de vos plugins et tout l'intérieur de l'interface graphique s'agrandit aussi. J'ai payé 100 $ pour ce plugin et 2 autres. C'est celui-ci que je préfère des trois donc je suis d'accord pour payer ce prix essentiellement pour avoir ce plugin. Je lui donne un 10 sur 10 pour la qualité sonore. Assez crédible pour moi. J'ai utilisé beaucoup de synthés de percus comme Impulse, batterie, Ultrabeat, tatouage, etc .. et celui-ci est un synthé très dépouillé en comparaison.
Oui, je le conseille, c'est agréable de pouvoir jouer des vieux sons
