The T-Rex Engineering Tremster is a tremolo and vibrato pedal that can be used with any electronic instrument, but is designed mostly for electric guitar. It is an analog unit and has 1/4 inch connections. It is powered by the power supply that comes with it and isn't rack mountable as it is a stomp box.
UTILIZATION
The configuration of the T-Rex Engineering Tremster is quite easy to follow and it only took me a few minutes to get accustomed to the pedal. It simply has three parameters - one for depth, one for speed, and one for volume. There is also a button to choose the mode that allows you to switch between tremolo and vibrato. I don't have the manual for the T-Rex Engineering Tremster, so I can't say how helpful it is or not, but it is easy to use and one isn't needed if you don't already have it.
SOUND QUALITY
The tone heard from the T-Rex Engineering Tremster is quite clean and the array of tones that are possible with this pedal are pretty endless. I usually use the pedal for recording with a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb, so I get a pretty accurate idea of what the pedal actually sounds like, and while the effect doesn't sound as good as the vibrato on my Fender Twin Reverb amp, it pretty close and definitely provides a lot more options and sounds. While I've heard better individual tremolo and vibrato pedals, it would be hard to find a pedal out there that has both types of effects on the same pedal that sounds this good.
OVERALL OPINION
I've only been using the T-Rex Engineering Tremster for a few months, but like all of the other T-Rex pedals that I have used, this pedal has grown on me quite quickly. The only downfall of this pedal is that it is a bit pricey, but is still less expensive than most of the other T-Rex pedals, and if you are looking for a high quality tremolo and vibrato pedal in one, it is worth the price as it doesn't get much better than this. Overall, the T-Rex Engineering Tremster is a top notch pedal that I would highly recommend checking out.
