CHINO, Calif., April 1, 2026 — EveAnna Manley, ubiquitous audio hardware icon, unmissable librul entrepreneur, and unapologetic impresario of thermionic civilization, today announced that she has acquired Plug-In Appliance from Naïve Instruments in a strategic move that industry analysts are already calling “deeply concerning,” “beautifully irrational,” and “possibly inevitable.”
The acquisition marks the launch of a bold new venture: the physical transformation of every major Plug-In Appliance software title into a corresponding analog hardware unit, all to be virtually hand-built by AI in the cavernous factory building in Chino, California that she owns until production is taken offshore “in two weeks”.
Under the Plug-In Appliance initiative, downloadable software products once prized for their convenience, affordability, and instant recall will soon become bulky, warm, criminally expensive, laser engraved, conversation-dominating pieces of outboard gear with real huge knobs, loud clanky switches, apocalyptic heat output, and, where feasible, at least one completely unnecessary vacuum tube illuminated by an orange LED for display.

A source close to the project confirmed that teams are also exploring hardware incarnations of software-only features previously thought impossible in the physical domain. Industry reaction has been swift. One remnant mastering engineer said he looked forward to finally being able to stop “working” in his bedroom and go back to the studio and maybe even use loudspeakers again.
The company has not yet announced a closing date for the transaction, though insiders say work is already underway on the first hardware prototypes, including a universal chassis system which is envisioned as a rolling welded-steel enclosure intended to hold multiple “instances” of the same unit side by side for users seeking authentic analog CPU overload. “We might even stick a row of Nixie tubes on top, so you can watch your audio levels instead of your 401K.” EveAnna exclaimed.

Ben non, c'était du premier degré. Et j'ai beaucoup de respect pour lui.
Il est tellement aux antipodes de cette vidéo que c'est particulièrement savoureux de sa part. Pour moi, c'est le meilleur poisson que j'ai vu ce premier avril. De n'importe qui, ça aurait déjà été drôle. De sa part, c'est en plus WTF puissance 10, un peu comme si Thomas C. Durand faisait une vidéo chantant les louanges de l'astrologie ou de la télékinésie.
