The AC powered unit does not use nor requires phantom power (even though it can be connected to phantom powered systems),and therefore is not limited to the constraints of phantom powered designs. The RDB-400 boast a totally activetransformerless audio path.

The RBD-400 is more than adirect box. Its line level output mode allows direct insertion into tape decks, bypassing mic pre-amps and mixingconsoles completely.

With the variable line and attenuation trim, you can convert -10dB signals to +4dB andvice-versa. It can also be used as a pre-amp, buffer, distribution amp, variable attenuator, and in many otherapplications. The RDB-400 is a dream in the studio control room, eliminating the need for direct boxes andcables on the floor.
