American (New York) stage art
ist and educator trained in the fields of music and movement. Certificate in classical piano conferred by The Hoff-Barthelson Music Academy (Scarsdale, NY), Bachelor of Fine Arts with concentration in dance completed at the State University of
New York, College at Purchase, NY. Training in Afro-Haitian dance and drumming techniche with Floretta Rush (Akosua Afro-Haitian Dance and Drumming Troupe). Vocal Studies with John Paxton, Gwendolyn Hughes, David Wilson, and Hendricks Jones.

RESEARCH & TEACHING

In addition to performance activity, Rhonda Moore conducts workshops, masterclasses, and research tanks based on elaborations of the Effort/Shape theories of Laban, a study involving the relationship between sound, movement, direction and stress (weight). Elaboration of ideas and practical application through structured sound and movement improvisation have proferred collaborations with visual artists-in particolar with painter-sculptor Maurizio Zanoli (Verona, Italy). Together , the two artists explore parallel corridors in sound/movement and design. Their work has been included in many exhibitions, manifestations and area-specific publications.
