Je vends cette exceptionnelle Sam’s FuzzTool mkII de Guitarsystems, modèle développé pour Sam Vilo dont la chaîne YouTube présentait des démos pour cette marque. C’est un circuit de Fuzz Face avec un transistor germanium et un silicium (hybride donc). On retrouve les potards de gain et de volume, ainsi qu’un 3e appelé T.M.F. et enfin un potard de bias sur le côté. Le TMF signifie Treble Medium Full. C’est donc un filtre. À gauche on est plus sur les aigus, au milieu on a les médiums en avant et enfin à droite on récupère des graves (Full : toutes les fréquences/ pas de filtre). Le réglage de bias nous fait passer de la fuzz velcro à une distortion précise et mordante en passant bien sûr par la bonne Fuzz Face. On a donc une fuzz avec une palette sonore étendue, mais toujours précise avec des attaques et un grain très nets, qui reste ainsi nerveuse et dynamique sous les doigts. Cette précision est caractéristique des fuzz de Guitarsystems, et tient au talent d'Ad van Dongen à travailler le circuit. La démo de Sam Vilo le reflète parfaitement. J'ai commandé directement cette pédale en 2017. Elle n’a été produite qu’à 15 exemplaires. Le transistor germanium est un rare AC176, trié sur le volet. C’est un transistor NPN, ce qui signifie que la pédale peut être alimentée comme n’importe quelle autre avec une prise à centre négatif. C’est assez rare pour les transistors germanium, et en fin de compte c’est bien pratique ! C’est vraiment du joli travail, tout est fait de A à Z par Ad van Dongen.
