This is a Rare Limited Monolith Edition Neumann TLM-103 which comes with a Mic Clip and its Original Wood Box.

This rare microphone is in near mint condition and works great. It was rarely used in studio so it has only very slight wear.

This is the rare Limited Monolith Edition of the TLM-103 Microphone. This edition was made to celebrate the Monolith in '2001, a Space Odyssey' and I believe only 500 units were ever produced in glossy black or as Neumann called it back then "piano lacquer".

Aside from the finish, it is a stock TLM-103 Microphone so it has the similar specs. It also comes with a special "black" wooden box. Given the limited production number of these microphones, and the popularity of the TLM-103, this mic will never lose its value.

The Neumann TLM-103 is one of the most popular vocal recording microphones on the market today.

It uses the well known transformerless circuit found in numerous Neumann microphones, the TLM 103 features extremely low self-noise. The capsule has a cardioid pattern, is acoustically well-balanced and provides excellent reduction of signals from the rear. The capsule is derived from the U87.

Additionally, the large wire mesh head grille protects the capsule from plosive sounds and effectively prevents pop noises. These characteristics are achieved without resorting to corrective resonance effects. Try the TLM-103 today, for colorless, accurate, and high quality sound.
