Mk5 capsule is practical!
To me the sound is very musical, round, detailed but not yet agressive. It has pretty low gain which can be a good or bad thing depending on your chain
Doesnt sound linear to me, but beautiful.
Best usage i found for it, Double bass, Violin, Mandoline, Hi hat, Ac Guitars (as second mic). I mean sounds good on many things.
I have also recorded plenty with Km84, U87 old, m269C, Sony c48 and more.
I always almost in every case prefer LDC to SDC. in conjonctions their great.
My 2 cents, If your gonna make an acoustic record...…
