Very compact and usable mic. Quality of built is very good although some might need servicing every 10-20years. mine works flawlesly!

    Mk5 capsule is practical!

To me the sound is very musical, round, detailed but not yet agressive. It has pretty low gain which can be a good or bad thing depending on your chain :)

Doesnt sound linear to me, but beautiful.

Best usage i found for it, Double bass, Violin, Mandoline, Hi hat, Ac Guitars (as second mic). I mean sounds good on many things.

I have also recorded plenty with Km84, U87 old, m269C, Sony c48 and more.

I always almost in every case prefer LDC to SDC. in conjonctions their great.

My 2 cents, If your gonna make an ac…

My 2 cents, If your gonna make an acoustic record with guitars, violins, bass, piano, percussions,

The schoeps and km neumanns are pratical in the mix but make sure (or try) to have LDC to cover up the main inputs of sources.
