Citation :
Further any sound module with
an appropriate USB input could be connected and played
from the Quantum keyboard.
r Make sure that you use a USB 2 port on your computer
and a USB 2 compatible cable to avoid problems
with data transmission.

Hi

to clarify a bit, there are two types of USB connectors in Quantum:

1. An USB port named "Controller" which is technically an USB Type A or "Host" port.
2. An USB port named "Computer" which is technically an USB Type B or "Device" port.

MIDI works on both ports of Quantum. Whatever the other side is, just make sure that you always connect Type A to Type B.

Examples:

Take a MIDI Controller. Most of them have a Type B port and connect this to the Quantum Type A port named - well you can guess from the example - "Controller".

Take a computer. They have typically USB Type A connectors. So, they will go into the Quantum Type B port named? Right, "Computer" :-)

.../...

There should not be such a thing like USB-A to USB-A cable. And even if you find one, don't use them. It's not meant to be that way.
