Eric Johnson. John Mayer. Adam Miller. Steve Kimock. Simon Fuerst. Matt Schofield. Oz Noy. James Santiago. Mick Taylor. Jeff McErlain. Ford Thurston. Joey Landreth. Eric Gales. Ariel Posen. Jesse Davey. Scott McKeon. Tomo Fujita. Joe Bonamassa. John Shanks. Josh Smith. Corey Congilio. Clay Cook…

Passent studio
Publié le 19/07/11 à 08:34 (contenu en anglais)Two Rock is an amplifier company based out of California that builds high end quality amps that has been featured by many of today's professional artist's such John Mayer and Joe Bonamassa. These amps are not amps that are at your local Guitar Center or Sam Ash. These amps are extremely expensive and hard to find. They have have an assortment of different amps to choose from and this one is on the lower end of the spectrum.
This amp is basically the same amp as the 22 watt version only a little higher power section. There are a couple extra features like a pull mid and depth controls which is not on the 22 watt studio. The overall tone and voicing is pretty much the same between the two amps.
UTILIZATION
Product Specs:
* 35 watts, 2X6L6 (optional 22 watts using 2x6V6)
* Power Tubes: 2 x 6L6 (can also use 6V6s)
* Preamp Tubes: 3 x 12AX7
* Reverb Tubes: 1 x 12AX7 and 1 x 12AT7
* Pull bright/mid/deep controls
* Active Buffered Effects Loop
* Spring Reverb with Send and Return Controls
* Small chassis design (same as Jet and J-2)
* Pickup Loading Feature - this control has 5 settings. In the first position(fully counterclockwise), there is no additional pickup loading, with 4 additional settings available. Fully clockwise(last position) is full loading. Loading the guitar pickup(s) to varying degrees changes the impedance relationship between the pickup and the amplifier's first gain stage. Loading reduces inductive "ringing" in the pickup coils. The effect is a more controlled high frequency response and a reduction in high frequency artifacts produced when a pickup's magnets and coils feed back with each other, usually at or near the pickup's saturation point. The damping effect will also reduce the gain, which is normal.Tonally speaking, reducing these artifacts results in a cleaner waveform and an apparent lack of harshness in the upper.
SOUNDS
This amp has a little bit better tweaking options that takes it up a notch above the 22 watt studio. The pull switches on the mids and bass or lows end add a better element to the overall tone of the mp. This gives you a much better sweep of available EQing to the controls.
The one of this amp is a clean Fender like amp. It is chimey and sweet on the high end. The gain barely does anything. It gets the tubes to overdrive a little bit for country or mild rock music. Nothing that that blows anyone away. The reverb part of the amp is interesting. It has a send and return controls which is unusual to this amp. I have never seen that on any other amp before.
OVERALL OPINION
At new these amps come in right at around $2399, which is kind of high for a single channel clean amp. They do sound great but to me not worth the amount of money spent. I have heard many other amps that sound equally as good for a lot less money. I would recommend this amp to someone who has only played this amp and the feels of it is the perfect match to their playing. This is a lot of money to spend on an amp that chances are you have never played. They are hard to find and not many stores carry them.33 - iamqman

This amp is the same amp as the black standard but just in a blonde tolex covering. This amp has all the same features and tone as the regular version but just in a cooler vintage looking covering.

This amp is the exact same amp as the studio 35 pro. This was simply renamed the studio pro 35 but it was this name before. So you get the same exact features and tone as the 35 watt amp.
