- moosersPublié le 13/03/09 à 01:28 (contenu en anglais)Installing the Antares Systems AVOX Vocal Toolkit was quick and easy and I had it running within a number of minutes. I had no compatibility with my set up and it has run smoothly since I installed it. The AVOX plug-in bundle has five different plug-ins within it - Throat, Punch, Choir, Sybil, and Duo. The interfaces of the plug-ins are easy to follow and they are laid on smartly. I don't have a manual for this, but it is easy enough to install and use that I never needed one anyway.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I am running the Antares AVOX Vocal Toolkit on a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM. I run these plug-ins in Pro Tools LE 7.4 thats runs off of a Digi 002R audio interface and I've never had a problem running these plug-ins with this set up. I've also run these plug-ins in Steinberg Cubase SX 2.0 on a Hewlett Packard lap top PC that has a 3.0 Ghz processor and 2 GB of RAM and had no problems. While I've never used more than two of the same plug-ins in the bundle at once, I've never had a problem on either system running these plug-ins for what I need them for.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using the Antares AVOX Vocal Tool Kit for about three or four years and have found them to be useful plug-ins when shaping a vocal. Of all the plug-ins in this bundle I would say that Punch, Duo, and Sybil are the best sounding, but all are plug-ins are useful in the right situation. While I use these plug-ins sparingly, as sometimes they can come off a bit digital sounding, I'm glad to have them as options when trying to achieve a certain tone. The price isn't all that expensive as far as plug-ins go, but they aren't a steal. For those interested, I'd definitely recommend trying the trial version out to see if these would suit your needs.00
