Ok, since we are late in getting the new Xboard firmware to those who have been waiting, and still have a few issues getting the new firmware installer finished, I went and asked and was approved permission to post the new Xboard firmware here on this website so you can at least upload the firmware into your Xboard and use the new improved curves and calibration procedure.

Download the firmware file to your computer. Go to your Windows Control Panel where you should see the E-MU USB-MIDI Control Panel Icon. Double click this icon to launch the Firmware updater. Click on the Update Firmware button. Point to utility to the firmware file. Click Ok and the update should proceed. Should be less than 30-seconds.

* Make sure you have closed all open applications/programs including all audio and MIDI applications/programs

* Do not disconnect or use the Xboard during the update which may corrupt your Xboard memory.

Sorry, but this pre release will only work using a IBM type PC and only if you have previously installed and Xboard on that PC. For Mac specific updates, you will need to wait until the new full firmware installer is finished and tested which is in progress.
