The McDSP Compressorbank is variety of different compressors in plug-in form. I've been using the plug-in for about six month and I am running it in Pro Tools LE 7.4. I run Pro Tools on a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4 GB of RAM with a Digi 002R audio interface. Installing the Compressorbank was easy and quick and I've never had a compatibility issues with this setup. I bought the Compressorbank with the McDSP Project Studio LE bundle and it was transferred to my iLok electronically. For this reason, it only took a matter of minutes to have the plug-in up and running with my system. The bundle was extremely cheap and came with six other plug-ins, making the price of the Compressorbank about as cheap as it gets. The plug-in is extremely easy to use and it emulates a number of different types of compressors quite well. The overall sound quality is great, and is what I have come to expect from McDSP plug-ins. Most of the compressors have basic parameters, and anyone with experience with any compressor will figure out how to use this quickly. The interface of the plug-in is laid out smart and also has a great metering section that is easy to follow. You shouldn't need a manual for this at all and is easy all the way around. While the sound quality isn't as fat as the URS 1970 Classic Compressor or Digidesign Smack, it sounds great and is nice to have as another compressor option in my arsenal. I use this mostly on electric guitars and acoustic guitars because I like the way it works with these instruments. All in all, I recommend not only the McDSP Compressorbank but the whole Project Studio LE bundle and McDSP plug-ins in general as they make some awesome sounding plug-ins at a price that just about anyone can afford.
