La 1616 Synchromatic est une guitare produite en Corée, qui reprend l’esthétique des Duo Jet vintage dans une version plus accessible. Avec son corps semi-chambré, son manche en érable touche palissandre et ses humbuckers, elle offre un son plus épais, riche en médiums et avec du sustain, à mi-chemin entre une Gretsch et une Les Paul. La Marauder est une Fender atypique inspirée d’un prototype des années 60 jamais commercialisé : elle combine un micro manche type Jazzmaster et un micro chevalet Triplebucker très polyvalent via un sélecteur 5 positions, offrant des sons allant du simple coil au humbucker plus costaud. Le manche en érable se dote d’une touche en palissandre au radius de 9,5 pouces. Avec son corps en koto, son vibrato type Strat et son look offset rétro-futuriste, elle se distingue par sa grande versatilité mais aussi par un caractère moins “Fender classique”, ce qui en fait aujourd’hui un modèle original et recherché en occasion surtout apprécié par ceux qui veulent sortir des sentiers Stratocaster/Telecaster. Bonjour, Je vends cette Cort G 280 achetée neuve en mai 2017, c’était le haut de gamme de la marque dans la série G (typées superstrat). Excellent état, proche du neuf, pas de pocs, elle a très peu servi (et uniquement en home studio). Elle passée chez le luthier pour des réglages et un changement de prise jack pour un Switchcraft de meilleure qualité et est actuellement montée en cordes Rotosound 10-46 et accordée en Mib (un demi-ton en dessous de l’accordage standard). J’ai changé le bouton de volume pour un modèle identique avec un point de repère, mais je fournis l’original dans le carton d’origine de la guitare ainsi que les clés allen de réglage (et même l’étiquette qui indique que le tone est un push-pull qui splitte les micros ! :-D). Pour l’aspect technique, on est sur un corps tilleul (basswood), elle est légère (on n’est pas sur une Les Paul) et agréable à jouer debout (niveau ergonomie, avec les découpes qui vont bien, c’est largement plus confortable qu’une Telecaster). On a un manche érable (maple) touche palissandre (rosewood) profil C façon Fender, très agréable (épaisseur 21mm à la 1ère case, 23mm à la 12ème), verni satiné au dos qui ne colle pas, c’est top. La finition est un gris cendré métallisé sobre et classieux, la tête est assortie au corps. Le vibrato est un Wilkinson VS-50 2 qui a bonne réputation de ce que j’avais pu lire avant de l’acheter. Outre son poids et le manche confortable, son gros point fort, ce sont les humbuckers Seymour Duncan de série (un 59 en manche et un JB en chevalet, environ 250€ dans le commerce), splittables en simples avec le potard de Tone comme indiqué plus haut, ce qui la rend très polyvalente. Détail inhabituel, ils sont « direct mounted »), c’est à dire que les vis de réglage de la hauteur sont fixés directement sur la guitare sans les caches en plastique habituels, à la Van Halen (il paraît que ça améliore le sustain). Je m’en sépare car elle m’a au final très peu servi malgré toutes ses qualités. Elle a d’ailleurs été notée 5/5, choix de la rédaction 2015 chez Total Guitar/Music Radar. Autant qu’elle serve à quelqu’un à qui elle correspondra davantage et qui l’appréciera : j’ai fini par me résoudre à l’idée que les strats/superstrats ne conviennent pas à mon jeu, d’une part parce que j’utilise pas mal de palme-mutes et que je préfère les chevalets fixes aux vibratos, et d’autre part parce que je n’ai jamais pu me faire à l’emplacement du potard de volume sur ces modèles. Envoi possible en carton avec double emballage par colissimo (ou dans un étui ABS + carton extérieur pour 40€ de plus). Je me déplace régulièrement sur l’axe Troyes – Chaource – Tonnerre - Chatillon s/Seine – Dijon.
