Fabriquée entre 92 et 95 au Japon à l'usine Chushin Gakki factory.
Prix d'origine : 695€.

- Manche très fin et peu verni, très agréable.
- Guitare plutôt légère et fine, ergonomie agréable grâce à la découpe pour le bras droit (ça porte sûrement un nom!).

UTILISATION
- Manche très fin et peu verni, très agréable.

- Accès aisé aux aigus grâce au pan coupé.
SONORITÉS
J'utilisais cette guitare dans mon tout premier groupe de métal, elle était exclusivement dédiée à ce style, et même si elle n'a pas un mauvais rendu en son clair je la vois uniquement comme une guitare de shredder. "Ce manche est une vraie autoroute" m'avait-on dit à l'époque.
J'en jouais sur un Peavey Bandit 112 puis sur un Peavey 5150 avec Marshall 1960A. J'ai alors investi dans une guitare réellement digne de cet ampli...
Une fois les micros changés je pense que ça serait une très bonne guitare pour du métal. Seulement je me suis diversifié musicalement et ai acheté des guitares réellement polyvalentes...
AVIS GLOBAL
Je l'ai utilisée pendant 5 ans environ, c'était la première guitare que je m'achetais moi-même, il y aura toujours un lien affectif.
Largement en deçà de mes guitares actuelles, je la prête à un ami débutant.
Lui rendant visite récemment j'ai été néanmoins surpris de la qualité de mon ancienne guitare, qui a pourtant mal vieilli (achetée en état moyen et abîmée par mes soins).
Ce que j'aime le moins : pas vraiment polyvalente, micros pas terribles, Floyd Rose horrible à régler.
Ce que j'aime le plus : son manche, sa finesse, un look plutôt sympa.
Achetée aux alentours de 2000F en 2000 c'était une plutôt bonne occasion, maintenant ça m'étonnerait qu'elle courre les rues !
Avec l'expérience je ne referais certainement pas ce choix !
Mais je ne regrette pas cet achat, c'était une très bon guitare de métalleux-débutant, je la garderai toujours sous le coude.

(contenu en anglais)The basswood bodies that were used on these were always what caused people to turn towards something else in the Jackson lineup. The guitar has the following specs:
Basswood body
Maple bolt-on neck with a rosewood fretboard
24 jumbo frets with dot inlays
Licensed floyd rose
HSS configuration
One volume knob
One tone knob
Three way switch
UTILIZATION
You don't see the Stealths that often, and I can kinda see why. The body is unique looking, but I find the body to not look quite as nice as the other body styles that Jackson offers. The dot inlays also made it kinda cheap looking compared to some of the sharkfin model versions. The fretwork was decent, but there was a low fret or two that started to show itself once I adjusted the action. The ends were good, though. The floyd on this isn't that great, and if you're going to keep this model, I recommend replacing it with something a little more high quality than what's already in here.
SOUNDS
The stock pickups in this were pretty bad. They lacked clarity, and they were muddy. The bridge was pretty dark sounding, even with the tone knob maxed, and I believe a lot of that is thanks to the basswood. Basswood is actually a pretty dark and midrange heavy wood which can sometimes lead itself to be dark at times thanks to the onslaught of midrange. The pickup just didn't seem to mesh with it. The neck and middle pickups were decent, but they're only really good for clean tones. The distorted tones didn't sound too great, and they lacked the dynamics that I find in other higher quality single coils.
OVERALL OPINION
A pickup swap is needed for this guitar if you plan on keeping it. They're built decently, but be sure to check for any potential neck pocket gaps and fretwork issues that may occur. You can find these pretty cheap on the used market, so no issues regarding trying to get a good deal on these.
