Ultra polyvalente et complète 4 canaux avec réverbe, boucle, rectifier et puissance (50 ou 100w) tous assignables par canal. 4 canaux avec chacun de multiples modes (déjà 3 sons cleans possibles rien que sur le canal 1 dont le superbe “tweed” d'inspiration fender). Master volume pour conserver l'équilibre entre les canaux. On peut doser une quantité de reverbe différente sur chacun des canaux. Pédalier et câble fournis permettant, en autre, d’activer un boost (pour solo par exemple). Aucune modification, juste 1 lampe changée. A noter que cet ampli a un bias fixe qui ne nécessite pas de réglage lors des changements de lampes. A titre de comparaison, la tête est plus compacte que la tremoverb malgré ses 2 canaux supplémentaires. The raw, vintage, and modern modes cover the entire range of gain from a sweet clip to a liquid voice up to a crushing wall of tight grind and are duplicated in both channels. This functionality allows user to either find a favourite sound and dedicate the channels to slight differences or configure them for wildly different styles. The channels' duplicated modes are a powerful feature, making the amplifier not just an amp for the current style or band, but a true lifelong companion to the music. This amp offers limitless configurations, keeping pace with player’s growth as his playing evolves. The amplifier further features Mesa's Multi-Watt channel-assignable power feature, allowing user to choose either 50W or 100W power for each channel. This simple-to-use feature expands the potential of each channel mode exponentially by enabling user to lower the power-clip threshold or tighten things up as needed. The two power choices also offer different personalities: 50W provides brighter, elastic bounce; 100W means tight-tracking low-end girth and mid punch authority. A switchable rectifier feature allows user to further tune the power supply for the feeling that best suits his style – tube for a vintage-inspired sag, or silicone diodes for tight tracking punch and authority. Bold/spongy power located on the main AC power switch provides a reduced line voltage setting for additional power sag and enhanced top end harmonic content. Its front panel location allows for on-the-fly selection of incoming line voltage with the full 117 V for headroom and authority, or a reduced voltage setting (like a built-in Variac) for a vintage-inspired brown vibe. Mesa also used the all-tube circuit from their acclaimed Lone Star amp, providing the amplifier a lush, ambient reverb that blooms with added dimension. Acheté neuf en 2017 sur un coup de coeur pendant les soldes. Aussi improbable que cela puisse paraitre, je ne l'ai pas jamais utilisé ni même testé. La pédale est encore dans son emballage d'origine avec le scotch de scellement de sortie d'usine (voir mes photo) Pour les moins connaisseurs, il s'agit d'un compresseur pour guitare électrique qui permet d'augmenter le sustain et obtenir une meilleure tenue de notes pendant les solos ou certaines mélodies. Il peut aussi être utiliser en rythmique ou en arpège puisque c'est un effet de traitement dynamique qui agit sur les nuances des notes et qui se complète à la main droite (celle qui attaque les cordes pour les droitiers). C'est une version "Custom Shop" du compresseur classique de la marque Mxr - Composants de meilleure qualité (puces CA3080) - True bypass - Moins de bruit de fond et plus de transparence. Prix neuf à sa sortie environ 140 € à 160 €. Il y a deux réglages supplémentaires par rapport à la version standard qui se trouve à l'intérieur du boitier permettant d'affiner les réglages. Pour aller plus loin je me suis posé la question de la rendre plus pratique en déportant en façade les deux potentiomètres internes (ce qui serait possible selon un spécialiste de la modification) mais finalement autant laisser cette pédale telle qu'elle a été conçue et adapter son usage selon ses possibilités.
